Sani Stagger 42.2km Run

THE SANI STAGGER 2015, hosted by the Sani Athletic Club, will be run on Saturday 28th November 2015 along the Sani Pass, between the Sani Pass Hotel and the Lesotho Border Post.
PLEASE NOTE THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ATHLETES FOR THE MARATHON IS 500 ENTRIES AND THE HALF MARATHON DOWN IS RESTRICTED TO 250 ENTRIES – SO ENTER EARLY- ENTRIES CLOSE WHEN FULL AND NO EXCEPTIONS CAN BE MADE.
Runners do not require passports unless they are staying overnight at the top and they will then need to go through the South African and Lesotho Border passport control.
DURING THE RACE ONLY ATHLETES AND OFFICIALS WILL BE GIVEN ACCESS VIA THE SA POLICE BORDER CONTROL. SHOULD YOU WISH TO VISIT THE SANI TOP CHALET YOU WILL NEED TO CARRY YOUR PASSPORT AND YOU WILL NEED TO GO THROUGH THE SA AND LESOTHO BORDER CONTROL. YOU MAY BE ARRESTED FOR ILLEGAL ENTRY SHOULD YOU CROSS THROUGH THE FIELD AND FENCES.

Registration: Friday 25th November at the Himeville Arms Hotel from 12h00 to 21h00
– All entrants are to PERSONALLY collect their registration numbers, timing chips and final instructions on Friday. Proof of ID will be required. There is no registration on Saturday morning before the race.

– 12h30 (6 hours 30 minutes) for Medals

42,2km MARATHON: Start at Sani Pass Hotel Golf Course: (Up and Down the Sani Pass- turnaround is top of the pass)
Finish: Sani Pass Hotel Golf Course:
Cut-off 6hrs. (12:00am) for Prize categories and 6hrs 30min (12:30am) for medal.
NOTE: There is a cut off of 3hrs 45mins at the turnaround point. Runners not getting to the top by 9:45am will not be able to continue.
Comrades and Two Oceans qualifier 5:00 hours.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Race entry fees are NOT refundable NOR transferable unless specifically authorised by the event organisers. Requests for refunds will only be accepted up until Friday 28th October 2016.
- There will be NO substitutions unless specifically authorised by the event organisers.
- Proof of age and identification will be required at registration.
