Wellness Heritage Run

As we all know FNB is leading the metaphorical banking race, so let’s do it literally. FNB Wellness
in conjunction with FNB Runners is hosting an FNB Wellness Heritage run in Johannesburg CBD,
starting and ending at FNB BankCity (Simmonds Street). The FNB Wellness Heritage run will be
10kms passing many of Johannesburg’s heritage sites and showing off Johannesburg’s beauty &
heritage.
This is not just a running race; we have added the entertainment, fun and educational elements to
it too. The idea behind this is to promote healthy living and get people active, not only our staff but
also our clients and our future clients.

There will be 3 water tables along the route and 1 at the finish.
There will be entertainment along the route at certain heritage sites.

Race packs can be collected on race day – 05:30-06:30 – FNB BankCity, 4 First Place foyer
Rules
1.All entrants will participate under the rules of CGA and ASA and it is the athlete’s responsibility to familiarize themselves with the rules.
2. Registered athletes must be members of a club affiliated to ASA, wear club colours and Two 2015 licence numbers on the back and front of the vest with the issued race number in front on top of the provincial licence number.
3. Temporary licensed athletes must wear the issued temporary license on the back of the vest and the issued race number on the front of the vest and plain clothing. No advertising logos of any sort
4. Competitors must be 15 years or older.
5. Athletes competing for a category prize must wear NUMERIC age category ID tags (front and back). Proof of age (namely certified ID and birth certificate) must be available on race day. Prize money will be withheld until age is verified.
6. Athletes indemnify the National, Provincial athletic bodies, the sponsors, organisers, beneficiaries and local authority against all and any damage or injury they sustain in participating in the race.
7. It is the responsibility of each athlete to ensure that he or she is medically fit and healthy to participate in any of the
8. Athletes may not make use of roller blades, skateboards, or other mechanically propelled devices.
9. All directions and instructions from traffic officers and marshals must be obeyed. Failure to do so may lead to disqualification or injury
10. No seconding permitted
11. Regret, athletes will not be allowed to participate with pets
12. Foreign athletes must comply with ASA domicile rules. In the event of winning a prize, international athletes must provide a clearance letter from their country of origin to the race referees.
13. No athlete will be eligible for prizes if details are not completed on sticker or tear off strips and thus deemed to be a non-finisher
14. The race committee reserves the right to accept or reject any entry. The judge’s decision is final.
15. No earphones, IPod and like devices allowed in contravention of IAAF rule 144.2b may lead to disqualification.
16. Objections must be lodged within 30minutes (before or after prize-giving) in writing to the chief referee accompanied by R200.00 which is refundable if the appeal is unheld.
17.Licenced athletes who do not wear their 2015 licence numbers must purchase a temporary licence on the day or face disqualification.
18. Athletes who participate without buying a race entry will be disqualified, will not be entitled to any benefits associated with the race and will be liable for a double entry fee charge.
19.Habitual offenders (those who regularly participate without purchasing a race entry) will be called to a CGA disciplinary.
20.Licenced athletes not wearing club colours may face disqualification.
LICENSED ATHLETES
All entrants events must be in possession of a valid 2015 licence number which must be worn on the front and back of the running vest. The race number issued by the organizers must be worn on the front of the running vest, over the licence number. Foreign athletes must comply with IAAF Rule 4, par 2 regarding handing over their permits to the organiser.
UNLICENSED ATHLETES
Unlicensed athletes must purchase a temporary licence number. This number must be worn on the back of the running vest and the race number issued by the organisers must be worn on the front of the running
