Let’s see, there’s the humble banana – no thanks – it repeats…
I prefer to have a low carb rusk or my favourite low carb chocolate granola an hour or so before a workout or a race / long run.
There’s nothing worse than something heavy lying in your belly or something you keep on tasting while you run.
I love this granola because it provides super fuel and doesn’t have any funny after-taste.
It also doesn’t have any funny effects on your tummy {if you know what I mean… 😉 }
You only really need a little helping, so it’s really like an energy bar or protein bar – but without all the sugar and carbs.
This is definitely one of my and Eben’s preferred running fuel!
