The route passes through the Groenkloof Nature Reserve and several leafy suburbs of Pretoria. Expect some tough climbs with a maximum elevation of 1 554 m and some off-road in between through the Klapperkop Nature Reserve. \nRunners can also enter the recently introduced Half Monster (21 km)\, the Mini Monster (10 km) and the Baby Monster – a 5 km fun run/walk through the beautiful suburb of Groenkloof. \nAll races except the 5 km Baby Monster will be timed using ChampionChip devices\, so make sure to wear your ChampionChip on the day of the race to have your result recorded. DESCRIPTION:I’m convinced that by this time some of you might have thought that the Run & Walk 4 Bibles in memory of Riana Van Niekerk has left the running scene but we are very excited to announce that the arrangements for the 2019 Race is all systems firing. \nThis time around we very privileged to present the traditional 5km\, 10km\, 21\,1km and for the first time in 2019: \nA full marathon 42\,2km and the best yet is – IT is a Comrades Qualifier. \nThe idea of running or walking for a good cause has become an appealing and popular family fun event. 2018 was a GREAT year for the Run & Walk 4 Bibles AGN recognized half marathon. It was the 7th anniversary of this race and also the third race that was run in memory of Riana van Niekerk as we payed tribute to the well-known athlete Riana van Niekerk. Registration starts at 4.30am\n2. Distance markers every 1km\n3. Water points every 3km\n4. Pets only allowed in the 5km\n5. Cut-off time is 9.30am\n6. Tog bag area available\n7. The route is suitable for wheelchair athletes \n\nGeneral Information\nRace Rules:\n1. All runners participate at their own risk and indemnify the organisers (Irene Village Mall\, Resilient Properties (PTY) LTD and the Irene Athletics Club)\, and sponsors of any liability claims by entering.\n2. All participants in the 10km and 21.1km must wear a valid race number on the front and a valid 2018 license number. Non-registered athletes have to purchase a temporary license. No license is required for the 5km race. Race numbers must not cover the sponsors logo on the licence number.\n3. The race will take place under the rules of the ASA\, AGN and IAAF and all participants must wear club colours during the race\, except if participating with a temporary license.\n4. Marshalls and traffic officials must be obeyed at all times.\n5. No seconding is permitted.\n6. Minimum age of 14 years on race day for the 10km and 16 years for the 21.1km.\n7. Category winners must provide proof of age to qualify for prizes (ID or other valid identification documentation).\n8. There is no age restriction for the 5km.\n9. Athletes competing for category prizes must wear official age category ID (front and back vest).\n10. Foreign athletes must observe IAAF rule 4\, paragraph 2.\n11. No iPods or listening devices are allowed.\n12. Walkers competing for prize money must wear Walker/W tags on front and back of vest.\n13.
